My husband and I stayed at Timberline for 3 months while I was there as a travel nurse. We have to say, this was one of our best experiences at a campsite. The owners were always helpful and people orientated. We loved that there are activities for the children and on the weekends they had pool activities for just the adults. The campsites are more than large enough and each one has full hookups. Don't know if we'll get back to Illinois any time soon, but if we do, Timberline is where we'll stay. We rate this RV park 5+ stars and recommend it highly. Special thanks to Jen and Darwin. Keep doing what you're doing, Paulette and Bob H.

No way would I camp there again. Poor maintenance in the restrooms one toilet for two days was clogged and the other had to be flushed twice to get it to move. Garbage pickup should be watched on an hourly basis. Bags stacked by restrooms. The tent spots were on a lean ( downhill) we literally slid off our air bed both nights. Quiet time is 10:30 and was not honored. One spot was loud with children till 5:30am. The police showed up! Should be an age limit on the golf carts for the safety of others. No ten year olds driving without adult supervision. Who ever runs it obviously doesn't give a rats ass.

I would give it zero stars if I could. Didn't even get to stay....called to book a site next to our friend's (#423). It was open so it was no problem and was an easy reservation; we received the reservation confirming the correct site number. When we arrived they gave us a different site number (#427), and I didn't realize it at first. When I pulled up at the site no. they did provide us, there was someone still camping there. As a matter of fact, there was someone on every site (4th of July week). My wife reviewed the camping reservation and noticed they had given us the wrong site no. The original one (next to our friends) was taken as well. We went back to the office to get it sorted out. The young lady behind the counter said it was her fault, because she gave our site to another camper who had the site originally and wanted to extend his stay. He had given her some sob story about how he couldn't move because he had a "bad back," so they tried to give us a different site without telling us or being forthright.. My wife explained that we wanted that site for a reason, and the young lady said, maybe they could find the camper to move him!! There was no one and no vehicle at the site, so who knows how long it would've taken to track the individual down??? (We had a lot of food in a cooler and we needed to get it in a refrigerator soon.) When my wife explained there is someone on both sites, they tried to give us yet another site that was also taken. The campers hadn't checked out yet even though check-out is at 1pm and it was past 3pm when we checked in. The campers on these sites were nowhere near "packed up" and ready to go. They asked to give us a rain-check, but my wife asked for a full refund as we will not be back. What kind of campground gives your site away without telling you and then doesn't ensure that people are checking out in a timely manner to ensure you a site that they switched out without telling you? They are either under-staffed or incompetent. There were individuals drinking and driving golf carts/vehicles around (their beer cans were hanging out the window in their hands) and small children running unsupervised in the streets in front of trucks and golf carts. We realize it was a busy weekend, but this brief experience was a nightmare. At least they gave us a refund!

Very nice campground, level sites, lots of shade, big pool, plenty of family activities. I can't give it five stars because of what happened when my clothes were stolen from the laundry. The staff didn't volunteer to announce over their speaker system that someone mistakenly took someone else's clothes until we pressed them to do so. Most of the clothes were returned but in two bunches. Staff admitted they knew who took them but wouldn't pursue it further even though we were still missing one item. They obviously have someone at the park with some issues. I wouldn't say don't stay there, but lock up your stuff if you do and stay with your laundry!

had to dial 911 because their staff did nothing when a lady fell and hit her head on the concrete. she was completely unresponsive. i instructed management to call 911 and the lady said she would. I called myself to confirm only to find out that nothing had been done. This could have been my wife or child. Clearly their staff is not trained in emergencies. Be aware. Won't go again.
